This is a manifestation of Vishnu known as Adi-Murti. According to the Vishnu-dharmottara, Vishnu is shown as sleeping on a serpent. Ananta, the serpent, will have five or seven heads. Vishnu is referred to as Sesha-Sayi when he is seated on the Sesha, and Adi-murti when he is on the serpent. The latter is Vishnu in his primordial form. Vishnu is shown in this print by the Ravi Varma Press as Adi-murti in Raja Ravi Varma's artwork. Four arms are on him. The other hands hold a conch (shank) and a discus, while the main hands hold a lotus and a mace (gadha) (chakra). Sri-devi (Lakshmi) and Bhu-devi are the consorts (Earth).
