Brass Statue Of Shou Lou God of Longevity

This is a Shou Lao antique Chinese brass statue. Shou Lau, also known as Shou Xing, is the Chinese Daoist God of Longevity. In Chinese mythology, he is also known as Shou Hsing and is one of three star gods known collectively as Fulushou. He was also known as Nanji Laoren or Old Man of the South Pole. To underscore his relationship to health, he's a cute little old man carrying a staff and the peach of immortality, the ancient emblem of immortality. His head is shaped like a huge peach, as is customary.
