Andal Devi is depicted in an Abhyanga pose in this remarkably accurate statue. The pedestal on which she stands is exquisitely adorned with lovely floral carvings. She is dressed in a typical South Indian sari. Her right hand is held in Lolahasta's stance, which resembles a horse's tail. The parrot is perched on the lotus that Andal Devi is holding in her palm. Andal Devi is sometimes compared to Mirabai, the legendary North Indian devotee saint who gave up her life of earthly luxuries to lose herself in the heavenly love for Krishna.
